Burnley and Oldham opening for Herbert Brown

Herbert Brown, award winning jewellers and pawnbrokers, have opened their 27th and 28th branch this week in the heart of Burnley and Oldham’s town centres.

The family run Herbert Brown is the subsidiary of the original business Albemarle and Bond, and the decision was taken to switch the brand because of the tremendous retail potential that these towns offer. The new look branchs opened their doors for trading early November and the official ribbon cutting will be preformed on Friday 9th November.

The new branches on 1 Howe Walk, Burnley and 6 Market Place, Oldham will deliver a stunning range of pre-owned and new jewellery as well as continuing with the professional range of financial services previously offered including Pawnbroking, Cheque cashing, Speed loans and Money transfers.

Chris Brown, sales and marketing director for the company, explains the rationale behind the decision to change the brand: “The original Albemarle and Bond branch was predominantly aimed at the financial services part of the market and reflected the growing demand for Pawnbroking, cheque cashing and speed loans. However we felt that the time was right to provide a quality jewellery offering with a unique collection of both pre-owned and new lines in these thriving town centres”
